staciestokley - PRAYER TIME!

Hello Friends! Brothers and Sisters!

I have a huge - big time prayer request.

There is some really intense stuff going on here.
There is a strike at the bus ranks, which means that all the bus drivers for public transportation
(which is huge here) have gone on strike.

This happened Mon. and a riot broke out.

People were shot and several were injured.
The town of Manzini (where we live) was in an uproar.

The government has promised to work on things if the drivers would go back to work. The drivers want a larger income and lower traffic fees. (They really are being underpaid and can hardly feed their families off of the income of driving a bus) The drivers are waiting on the government until next Friday the 28th. Then if nothing is resolved they will strike again but this time in a much larger way. I think the saying "all hell will break loose" could apply.

Our leaders are taking extra precautions. We were not allowed to use public for a few days...
but things have been somewhat resolved. The Government just stepped in and said they would be working on it... but we still won't ride public on next Friday, cause it could be very dangerous.

This really limits us though in ministry, for we only have one working vehicle for 17 people.
I just pray that it gets better and is resolved soon.

Things are getting better. BUT THIS IS REAL. THIS IS REAL AFRICA.
THERE IS REAL HURT. THERE IS REAL PAIN.

JESUS IS THE ANSWER. I believe it. THAT'S WHY I'M HERE!
