I do indeed love it here in Africa. So many thanks to all the precious individuals who made this trip posssible to me. No doubt, this is exactly where I am supposed to be. I'm growing and learning so much. It is incredible how much the AIM staff pours into us. Almost everyday our schedule looks like sessions or teachings in the morning, then in the afternoons we go out and do ministry at different places. We are super busy and very tired at the end of the day.
Last week we were in Swaziland all week, and I really did love it there! I'm praying about going there next semester. I really connected with some ladies and loved it. It is one crazy country though. Its a kingdom with this legit king who has about 14 wives. It is very different form South Africa which is where we have spent the rest of our time here.
Obviously life here is different form any expectation that I ever had. It is a crazy place. There is much spiritual warfare that is right in your face, but in our trainings they are really equipping us with how to handle things like this. I've heard a few of my family members have laughed that my only option for laundry is a bucket and water hose. So thats always an adventure resulting in a sore back. And a warm shower is a fading memory. No such thing anymore. We live in intense community with one another, very close proximity. These things are easy though, just funny. I love living here and how selfless it is making me become.
Please spread the word to others that this is the main way I will be communicating to home. We only have internet access once a week and its expensive. So I'll just post on my blog, and that way everyone can see it. I will go into greater detail and have prayer requests in my future blogs, so please check weekly.
I love you all dearly and miss you too much.
I'm looking forward to coming home at Christmas but am thrilled to be exactly where i am right now!
where I am!
