Oh, life here in Swaziland is better than ever. The Lord never ceases to pour his blessings upon us. We leave in exactly one month from today, which is very hard for me to come to terms with. I have only grown to love the people of this country more and more. My ministry has continued to flourish and grow beyond what I even knew to pray for. My relationships with so many of the woman are true and intimate. I am a daughter to some, a sister to others, and a mother to a few. I love them deeply.
The Lord has also continued to blow me away in my weekly Bible study with these ladies. It is always a tremendous blessing for me for the Lord to choose me to speak through. The ladies are always so responsive and vulnerable in sharing prayer requests and praises or in just commenting on something we have discussed.
The most fun day yet, though, is about to happen. This Saturday all of the women who work at the care points and make the purses are coming to our house, and we are having a special day for them. There will be around fifty ladies attending. I am so excited about it! They get overlooked a lot, as one could imagine. For when people go to the care points, they usually minister to the children not the women who are there cooking and teaching. These ladies are extraordinary. They are all volunteers and go to the care points everyday to cook food for the orphans and teach them. This Saturday is all about them.
When they first arrive at our house we are having a tea, they are also going to be able to take showers in our bathrooms. Trust that you cant imagine what a treat this will be for them, for they don't even have running water at their homes. They will be able to shop for clothes that have been donated as well. Then we are going to play games; they love games more than most of the kids! We are playing musical chairs and limbo and having relay races and more. After the games the Swaziland Gospel Choir will perform. Yes, the Lord has blessed this day; I do not even know how we go so lucky as to get them to come. The women will love it. Then, probably the best treat of all: KFC. They will have Kentucky Fried Chicken with their meal, which does not get any better for them. We are ending the fabulous day with a devotion then driving them back home.
The Lord is surely our Provider for big and little things. I really wanted this day to happen for the women but did not have enough money to do all that I have written about. So I just asked the Lord for the money to make this day happen for these ladies that I love so much, and He provided by using a small group of women in Mississippi! Thank you all so much for blessing these women across the world. I cant wait to tell you all about it.
Thank you all who have continued to pray for me and this country. It is a special place and I am blessed to be here.
